You want to find just one record and know exactly what it is. It
might be, for example, the birth certificate of an ancestor, or a
census entry for a particular family. We will obtain a copy for
you, and send it to you within the week.

Use this search if you would like to discover the details of a particular event,
which requires a small amount of investigation. For example, there
may be a family story that your great grandmother died young, and
great grandfather remarried. You only know roughly when this
happened, but you'd like to know the details. A preliminary search
could uncover this information. This search could be upgraded to a
regular search if that proved appropriate.
